The site for the house is located in a conservation area of Hillsborough. The long narrow plot is surrounded by neighbouring properties on 3 sides with access via a laneway. The house was designed within the Conservation Area Guidelines. The design priority was to optimise the available space to create a bright, modern, open plan home. The bedrooms are on the ground floor with an internal courtyard to bring sun/day light into the building. An open plan living /dining /kitchen area is on the first floor with a study on a mezzanine level.
