We have worked with KnoxClayton Architects on a number of projects including the replacement of our main Lisburn campus. All projects have been completed on time and budget. KnoxClayton have proved they are able to produce innovative design solutions, fully reflective of client requirements in ever changing environments.
SERC, Lisburn Campus is a new 15,000sqm educational building on a tight city centre brownfield site. Our architectural approach was to promote an attractive and innovative solution, with core requirements that the building should engage effectively with the City of Lisburn and reflect the College’s vision of itself and its future.
The College provides an environment which encompasses design quality. The design was based around both CABE and OGC documents “Improving Standards in Design in the Procurement of Public Building” and “Achieving Excellence in The Procurement Guidelines”. As PFI procurement, it was imperative to show an inspiring design which was affordable whilst also exceeding statutory regulations and exhibiting best practice. Our design responded to a wide variety of future proofing ideas, including the incorporation of flexibility and adaptability.
