The Board of Governors of Enniskillen Integrated Primary School appointed KnoxClayton as their architects, selected from an impressive list of experience in design.  They were entrusted with the design of our much longed for new school build and they didn’t disappoint!

KnoxClayton architects are genuinely interested in their client and listen attentively to their needs.  Whilst demonstrating a wealth of experience and professionalism throughout, they always maintained a personal touch.  Relationships and a positive understanding were formed very quickly.  We were encouraged to “speak our mind”, “question their concepts”, which to the unprofessional eye are often hard to perceive.  They patiently assembled a design that closely matched our vision.

We were rewarded with a magnificent school building which met our expectations and needs in every regard.

I cannot speak highly enough of Knox & Clayton Architects.

Enniskillen Integrated Primary School is a split-level 8 base classroom primary school, with an additional Special Needs room with small group rooms to accommodate pupils with disabilities. The location of the main school on the upper plateau allows astonishing views across the town and neighbouring Lough from all the external play areas. The prominence of the chosen setting also helps showcase the school in the townscape, creating a highly visible and distinctive mark on the local community. The plan of the building follows a classic L-shaped layout, with a double height entrance with associated administration spaces forming the elbow of the design. The main multi-purpose hall for dining and sports is on the lower entrance level, along with a full kitchen and separated service yard.
