Professional Background

Jiradej, known as Pow, is originally from Thailand however studied architecture at Hull School of Architecture. Pow has been a Partner with Knox and Clayton Architects for the last decade and is responsible for the development of the “Practice Design Ethos” which is founded on creativity and design exploration and innovation. Pow is focused on Driving Sustainability within the built environment. Pow’s architectural influence has ensured that the Practice has become and remains one of the foremost architectural practices in the UK and Ireland. Pow’s skills range from conceptual design through to Project Management and more recently has been key to implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) into the Practice’s portfolio.

Professional Background

Lawrence studied at Hull School of Architecture and has subsequently completed the RSUA Project Management course along with the RSUA stage 2 Conservation course. He also is a qualified Accessibility Auditor and Dementia Tool Kit Auditor from Stirling University Dementia Design Centre.

Lawrence has been a partner in the Practice for the past decade and has influenced and developed the Practice’s profile, management, procurement and contracts strategies both in the public and private sectors. The Practice is now at the forefront of Design and Build and PFI projects in the UK and Ireland. Lawrence is a specialist in education architecture who has completed numerous Award winning educational projects both in the North and South of Ireland.

 

Interests

Lawrence is keen footballer and is still playing regularly he is also with competing in the UK Park Run events. He is a past member of the RSUA Council and through his involvement with the Council he regularly acts as Exhibition Convener for the RUSA “Architects as Artists” Annual Exhibition.

Professional Background

Des studied architecture at Brookes University, Oxford and subsequently Project Management at the University of Ulster. Des is also a qualified Accessibility Auditor and CDM Co-ordinator (CDMC). Des is a long standing Partner and over the last decade has ensured that the practice has become one of the most prominent architectural practices in the UK and Ireland, delivering quality buildings for clients under a variety of procurement methodologies and contracts including Design and Build, PFI, Prime Contracting and NEC. Des is past Chairman of the Association for Project Management and remains an active member representing the Association on the Northern Ireland Construction Industry Group Professionals Council (CIGPC) and also on the Construction Industry Forum for Northern Ireland (CIFNI). Des continues to lecture regularly on Project Management at local Universities.

 

Interests

Des is married to Alma and has 2 Children Chris and Nicky. Des is a competitive sailor and his past achievements in this sport include managing the Irish Youth Sailing Team in international events across the world and he is also past President of the International Mirror Class Association. Des continues to sail competitively at both area and national championships and is a member of Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club.
