Senior Partner in the firm, Ernie Knox said: "Given that the regulations regarding planning and conservation were so different from Northern Ireland, our team did a superb job and we are delighted that the scheme has been singled out for so many prestigious accolades.

"I would like to thank our client Mr Keith Yelland for offering us the chance to work on the scheme as well as the contractor L D Rogers Construction Limited who were superbly organised throughout, easy to work with and the quality of workmanship was second to none."

Mr Keith Yelland said: "I have known Ernie Knox for some time and even though the company is in Northern Ireland, I knew they would do a first class job.

"Fountain Court has become a welcome addition to the streetscape of Teignmouth and an example of the quality to be expected from Knox & Clayton Architects.

"This has been reflected in the scheme’s inclusion in what are very sought after local awards."

Knox & Clayton also recently picked up Northern Ireland’s first ever Sustainable Planning Award for The Orchard Building, a new teacher training facility at Stranmillis College in Belfast in a joint project with Scott Wilson Architects.
